SFW Oral History
A Beeld & Geluid collection of audiovisual material featuring oral history interviews from the archive of the Film and Science Foundation (Stichting Film en Wetenschap). The metadata is available under a CC0 license, while the content itself can only be played via the Onsland platform.
The Foundation for Film and Science (SFW) collected audiovisual material with the aim of making it available for education and research. Producing and preserving oral history recordings was one of the SFW's activities. In 1997, the SFW archive merged with the broadcasting archive and the Government Information Service's film archive to form the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision.
As part of the Indisch Erfgoed (Dutch-East Indies heritage) programme, the SFW Oral History collection has been enriched with detailed descriptions and terms from the Indisch Erfgoed Thesaurus. The metadata is available as linked open data under a CC0 license. In collaboration with the platform Onsland.nl, the material has been made accessible to a wider audience.
